About this site
With much support from my husband, since this was his idea to begin with, as well as some friends, I have decided to jump into the world of blogging.
Being the mother of a 5 year old little boy that suffers from a host of issues, my hope for this site is it will help other parents who are new to the world of special needs. When we were first told our little bundle of joy had some “issues”, the first place my husband turned for information and support was the internet. Given we are only 4 years into this adventure, I am hoping this will help answer questions, calm nerves, provide helpful tips, as well as serve as a sounding board for other parents that were given the same news we were as it can be a very scary and very chaotic place.
Welcome to my site.

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.” Helen Keller

Whew! I did not drown in my own tears! I am soooo impressed with you, Kelly! I learned some facts I did not know and reminisced with you about the happy moments of progress and love. When I read this and when I am with you, I feel the extreme amount of love, affection, pride and heartfelt warmth you exude with Tyler in your arms. I feel guilty sometimes when I want to hold him to hug him because it is a few moments he is not touching you…but I pray the whole time that he feels the same warmth and love from me when I hold him, even briefly! He is very special…his being puts reality into the words love and caring, that are sometimes just taken for granted. My own heart swells with joy when I see him smile, or laugh, or giggle in my presense!
God chooses only the finest people on his earth to bless with your little Tyler…for without him you would be just another Brunetti wife slaving over your Brunetti (golfing) husband after 40 + hours of hard work!!(HeeHee, HaHa:)
Just needed to make you (and me) laugh while I regain my composure.
“The best things in life aren’t things…”, they’re having people like you and Tony and Tyler to share in life’s memories!!!
I love you!
Kathy
Well I must say, having known Kelly, Tony and Tyler for a few years now and being a mother myself I need to express the respect I have for these two. They were faced with an unimaginable situation and have come out on top. They have a wonderful, beautiful little boy who is just a joy to be around and whether or not you are a parent with a child with special needs or just a parent in need of a little inspiration these are the people to turn to. They encompass the qualities that I wish more parents would…patience, love and respect. They are wonderful people and the best neighbors we could ever ask for.
Love your neighbors
